In ampEducator, you can use the “Take Best” option within Grade Groups to include only the highest grades in a group’s average.
- Go to Course Details → Grading Schema.
- Click the Edit (✎) icon next to the Grade Group you want to adjust (for example, “Tests”).
- In the edit window, check With Take Best.
- Enter the number of grade items you want to include in the calculation — for example, enter “8” if you want to take the best 8 out of 10 tests.
- Click Save Grade Group.
This feature works best when all grade items in the group are equally weighted, since it will average only the top X grades and exclude the rest.
