You can manage grade rounding in Courses or Programs through the Grading Scale or Custom Grading Scales in the Details section.
To adjust rounding settings within a course or program:
- Go to Details → Grading Scale.
- From here, you can edit how letter grades correspond to percentages and GPA values.
- If you want to define a specific rounding rule, create or select a Custom Grading Scale.
When creating or editing a custom grading scale, you can choose one of the following Grade Rounding options:
- Round Grades to Closest – Rounds to the nearest defined grade.
- Round Grades Down – Always rounds down to the lower defined grade.
- Round Grades Up – Always rounds up to the higher defined grade.
For institution-wide scales, create your scale in Institution Config → Courses → Custom Scales, so the same scale can be reused in multiple courses.
